Someone is hatching plans for a ride on Sunday:

http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1398269#post1398269

Jake do you know of any good spots up north?

Are any of those spots around the lake still rideable?

Nice DR BTW.

Didn't get to do the full route I wanted to. Originally I was thinking I would have some fun water crossings. I guess 5 days of straight rain got the water higher than I expected. If I wasn't by myself I would have given it a shot but the last thing I wanted to do is drop the bike in the water, have it go over the edge of the payment and never get it out alone.

Wow, that water is running fast! You made the right decision to not attempt it alone. Glad you had a safe ride, and thank you for posting on RDS!

It's been a long time since I saw water like that on CR310.  Kosmic and I got turned around by that same crossing a few years ago. I would NOT have even considered riding through that.

It has been a long time since I have ridden that area.  I'm heading that way soon.

Howdy Everyone,

Checking to see if anyone would be interested in a ride Saturday morning. No times or routes have been picked.

Please chime in if you have any ideas. I like to ride out to the trails in Bastrop and I'm always up for a dirt road tour of Llano and Mason Counties, but I'm sure there is some great stuff out there that I'm missing.

Haven't read any updates from anyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Really bummed that Photobucket changed their policy and we've all lost our pictures on our sites. I'm not paying them money for that.

TjRockit, good to hear from you! I wish I had thought of this before signing up with photobucket 10 years ago, but you can do a free blog on https://www.blogger.com and upload your pics to it, and just embed the photo in RDS as usual, and it is free!

Seems like this thread has dried up a bit. Anyone game for a half-day hill country ride on an upcoming Sunday morning? Early start, some dirt miles, and some lunch before the temps hit triple digits? Is there another forum for informal, local group ride planning?

I'm down for it...give me a few days notice so I can fake an illness to get out of chores.
